My
chapters from Eisenberg’s Ecology of Eden
focused a lot on the effects that humans have had on the environment, beginning
with the story of Adam and Eve and the punishment they (and humans in general)
received after not obeying the word of God and taking from the environment. If
we have already been punished by God, why is it that we have not learned to
stop destroying our ecosystems?
